Christmas in Alsace
Welcome to this new edition of Happy Cristal, true to Christmas tradition in Alsace. Christmas is a particularly important moment of the year in this region of eastern France, with its traditional characters and rituals. In partnership with the Société Lalique, the Lalique Museum has produced four typical characters that occupy the scene but can’t actually be seen. They are the Gingerbread Man, the Christkindel, Hans Trapp and Father Christmas (or could it be Saint Nicholas?). Their various worlds are inspired by the personality of each character, whether they just love their food, are radiant or sombre, or – of course – joyful like a child opening his presents! Enjoy your visit, and Happy Holiday Season!
From 27 November to 5 January 2025, the Happy Cristal – A Christmas in Alsace exhibition is on show free of charge at the Lalique Museum. It’s an event for all the family!
Admission to the permanent collections is subject to a charge.
Museum open every day during the exhibition period from 10am to 6pm EXCEPT 24 and 31 December (10am-4pm) – Museum closed on 25 December and 1 January.
In partnership with Lalique SA and France 3 Grand Est
as well as Pains d’épices Lips in Gertwiller and the Père Michel workshop in Meisenthal.
