Christmas is an ancient tradition, and many of the customs associated with it actually have their roots in Alsace. But the glass-making tradition associated with this region of France goes back even further in time. For Christmas 2016, the Lalique Museum brings these two aspects of its heritage together, with some wonderfully dazzling exhibits.
The museum’s permanent collections give pride of place to glass and the work of René Lalique. But Christmas being the perfect time to showcase current creations, this “House of Exception” invites you to discover new editions of works by members of the Lalique family and pieces by contemporary artists such as Damian Hirst.
