3 gardens make up a sumptuous backdrop
Designed at the same time as the museum, the gardens are an integral part of the visit and provide a wonderful natural setting. Designed around three different themes – mineral for the forecourt, floral for the inner area and wood for the green roof over the building housing the permanent collections – the gardens pay tribute to nature, Lalique’s greatest source of inspiration throughout his lifetime. They were designed by Neveux Rouyer Paysagistes based in Versailles.
Spaces of contemplation
As you stroll through the gardens, take the time to sit for a while and admire their beauty. Every species of plant chosen for the gardens relates to one of Lalique’s creations, including the pine tree motifs on bowls or jewellery, the ivy on a vase and the ferns on a perfume bottle.
