Worth brought out its first perfume, Dans la nuit, in 1920. After Paul Poiret and Maurice Banini- but before Coco Chanel- Worth was the third couture house to try its hand at perfumery. It was only foour years later that it ordered a flacon from Lalique.
Circular in shape and adorned with littel stars,which, thanks to the golden colourof the perfume, seem to sparkle, it features a blue patina. Meanwhile, the cirdular stopper is decorated with a crescent moon stars ; a later version included the name of the perfume.
Enjoying great succes, the design would appear in various sizes. A vaporiser version was produced, as where a number of powder-boxes. A simpler bottel, circular with glass tinted blue, was manufactured for the lotion.
